My interest in Acupuncture and Herbs started when I worked as a Molecular/Microbiologist.  On a slow day in the lab back in November 1998  I  was perusing an issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association.  It happened to be their annual alternative medicine issue.  To date the most requested issue they ever published!  One article captured my attention, Treatment of Irritable Bowel Syndrome With Chinese Herbal Medicine A Randomized Controlled Trial, JAMA. 1998; 280(18): 1585-1589. Doi: 10.1001/jama.280.18.1585.  I thought that’s really cool, where can I learn about that?  I researched schools and decided on American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco.   I graduated in late 2002 and passed my California State Boards in early 2003.

Qi and I both like to cycle.  So when I’m not treating people to help their qi cycle, I love to be out on one of my bikes.  Either riding one of the roads around Mt Tamalpais or single track in Boggs State Forrest in Lake County.  Cycling is one way I refresh my body and mind.
